INDO GULF was established in the year 1874 in Karnataka, South India by Mr. Mohidin Sayed. The Company started as a Explosives Manufacturing Company with its products distributed under the Brand name "Karnataka Fire Works" the only Explosives Mfg Co. in entire South India for Seven decades. After a brief of eight decades the new generations of the Company diversified into different fields venturing into Engineering, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

In 1954 Indo Gulf Engineering was established for Manufacturing Diesel Oil Engines, Generators, Pump Sets, Centrifugal Water Pumps, Hand Pumps etc.

In 1974 Indo Gulf Trading Co. was incorporated especially to cater the increasing demand of its Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals in the International Markets.

Initially, Indo Gulf a quality producer and a dominant player manufactured a few chemicals & pharmaceuticals. Today, the Company is a leading manufacturer and exporter of over 500 high quality products including Industrial Chemicals, Fine Chemicals, Water Treatment Chemicals, Laboratory Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Bulk Drugs & Finished Formulations. Over the years, the Company has obtained and successfully assimilated best-of-class technologies from companies around the world. Indo Gulf operates through its business divisions at Bangalore, Kandla, Kolhapur, Tarapur, Ambernath and a Global network of associates and subsidiaries
